Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a qualified Site Logistics Coordinator to manage material deliveries, equipment movements, and access control for construction projects. You will develop logistics and traffic plans, coordinate with contractors and suppliers, and ensure safety and compliance on site.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years in construction logistics or project support, with strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction logistics, site coordination, or project support roles.
• Experience on Industrial, Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or High-Tech Facility projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction site logistics, material handling and access management.
• Familiarity with site safety requirements and logistics planning processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site logistics activities, including material deliveries, equipment movements, storage, and site access.
• Develop and maintain logistics plans, traffic management plans, and delivery schedules.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, vendors, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor site access, vehicle movements, laydown areas, and material storage locations.
• Coordinate crane utilization, lifting activities, and heavy equipment movements with stakeholders.
• Ensure logistics operations comply with project safety requirements, site regulations, and security procedures.
• Identify and mitigate logistics-related risks, delays, and site congestion issues.
• Track logistics performance and provide regular progress reports to project management.
• Support planning and coordination of temporary facilities, welfare areas, and site infrastructure.
• Facilitate communication between contractors and stakeholders to minimize disruptions and maintain construction schedules.
