Job summary

Xinyi Energy Smart (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a logistics clerk to manage daily import/export documentation and coordination at Port Klang. You will prepare shipping and customs papers, liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and port authorities, and monitor cargo movement.

The role requires good communication, accuracy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Based in Port Klang, this position offers growth within a global glass manufacturing group.

Job description

Handle daily import and export documentation and related administrative tasks.

Coordinate and follow up on import and export shipments at Port Klang.

Prepare, check and maintain shipping documents, customs documents and other related paperwork.

Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs agents, hauliers and port authorities regarding shipment arrangements.

Monitor shipment status, vessel schedules, container movement and cargo clearance.

Assist in customs clearance and ensure all required documents are properly submitted.

Arrange and coordinate container pick-up, delivery and return of empty containers.

Follow up on customs, port and shipping-related issues to ensure smooth cargo movement.

Maintain accurate records and filing of import/export documents.

Perform data entry and update shipment information in the relevant systems.

Assist with other clerical and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Minimum SPM / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.

Previous experience in Port Klang, import/export, shipping, logistics or customs clearance will be an advantage.

Familiar with import/export documentation and basic shipping procedures.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office.

Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently.

Willing to work at Port Klang and occasionally handle urgent shipment matters.
