Job summary

Ennovi in Malaysia is seeking a Trade Compliance professional to manage end-to-end import/export operations, verify HS codes, and ensure RMCD compliance. The role requires hands-on experience in manufacturing or multinational environments.

You will collaborate with logistics teams, suppliers, and authorities, leveraging SAP and Excel to optimize customs processes, reduce risk, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3 to 6+ years hands-on experience in import/export operations, customs brokerage, or trade compliance.
• Familiarity with RMCD procedures, tariff classifications, and special tax schemes (LMW, FIZ, or sales tax exemptions).
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and SAP or specialized trade software.
• Strong problem-solving and communication for cross-functional liaison with authorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export clearance and verify HS codes.
• Oversee compliance for LMWS/FIZ/STA, including audits and reporting.
• Manage trade items under Malaysia's STA using DagangNet or similar portals.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and brokers to optimize routing.
• Conduct internal compliance reviews and sanctions screening.

Key responsibilities

• Customs & Regulatory Operations: Manage end-to-end import and export clearance, verify accurate Harmonized System (HS) codes, determine customs valuation, and handle country-of-origin determinations.
• Local Compliance (LMW/FIZ/STA): Oversee compliance for Licensed Manufacturing Warehouses (LMW) or Free Industrial Zones (FIZ), including inventory reconciliation, customs audits, and periodic regulatory reporting.
• Manage strategic trade items under Malaysia's Strategic Trade Act 2010 (STA) using portals like DagangNet.
• Logistics & Vendor Management: Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and local customs brokers to optimize cross-border shipment flows and minimize lead times.
• Risk Management & Auditing: Conduct internal compliance reviews, manage denied party/sanctions screening, and resolve customs hold-ups or escalation issues.

Job Requirements & Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 to 6+ years of hands‑on experience in import/export operations, customs brokerage, or trade compliance, preferably within a manufacturing or multinational environment.
• Strong familiarity with RMCD procedures, tariff classifications, and special tax schemes (LMW, FIZ, or sales tax exemptions).
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and enterprise systems like SAP or specialized trade/customs software.
• Strong problem‑solving capabilities, clear communication for cross‑functional training, and the ability to liaise with regulatory authorities.
