Job summary

KAMEN STEEL INDUSTRIES SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a Delivery Officer to support stock planning, coordinate transport, and act as liaison with customers and sites on arrival of goods. The role emphasizes timely deliveries and compliance with internal processes.

The ideal candidate will manage documentation, monitor delivery operations, and contribute to monthly reporting, while adhering to QMS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan with production to monitor stock for daily deliveries.
• Plan and arrange transport for delivery.
• Contact customer or job site on goods arrival.
• Ensure all lorries are weighed for inbound/outbound delivery.
• Prepare delivery orders and related documents.
• Record and file relevant documents.
• Notify sales if there is any discrepancy in delivery instructions.
• Oversee daily department activities.
• Liaise with Sales, Production Planning and other departments to ensure timely delivery.
• Issue and manage Touch N Go and diesel chit to drivers.
• Monitor forklift and lorry drivers’ overtime.
• Prepare monthly reports for management.
• Perform tasks defined in the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Carry out other duties as assigned by superiors.

Job description

1. To plan and liaise with production for stock status to plan for daily delivery.

2. To plan and arrange transport for delivery.

3. Responsible to contact customer / job site on arrival of goods.

4. Ensure all lorry are properly weighed for incoming and outgoing delivery.

5. Prepare delivery order and other documents for delivery.

6. Responsible to record and file relevant documents.

7. To inform sales personnel if there is any discrepancy on delivery instruction.

8. To oversee daily activities of the Department.

9. To liaise with Sales Department, Production Planning Department and

relevant departments to ensure that goods are delivered promptly.

10. To issue and manage Touch N Go and diesel chit to lorry drivers.

11. To control and monitor forklift and lorry drivers work overtime.

12. To prepare monthly reports to management.

13. Tasks specified in Quality Management System (QMS).

14. All other related duties and responsibilities that are assigned by superior.
