Job summary

The GMP Group in Shah Alam is seeking a field service technician to perform preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and elevator-related works. Reading blueprints is required, and safety is paramount.

You will travel overseas for training when needed, hold an electrician or mechanical certificate, and welding certification is a plus. Own transport is mandatory for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have own transportation.
• Willing to travel overseas for training.
• Must hold an electrician or mechanical certificate from a recognized vocational institution.
• Must know how to read blueprint (Technical Drawing).
• Welding certificate will be an added advantage (Certified Structural Welder - ISO 9606-1 WQT)

• Provide effective solutions for mechanical and electrical problems as they arise.

• Prepare field service reports and ensure safety compliance.
• Report near misses or unsafe acts to supervisor or client’s HSE officer during work operations.

Monthly Salary: MYR 3500 - RM5000

Job Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical issues, and carry out corrective maintenance, refurbishment, elevator installation, and dismantling.

Provide effective solutions for mechanical and electrical problems as they arise.

Conduct testing procedures and collect relevant data.

Ensure all electrical work is performed safely and in compliance with safety standards.

Prepare and submit field service reports upon task completion.

Report any near misses, injuries, or unsafe acts to the immediate supervisor or client’s HSE officer during work operations.

Requirements
