Job summary

Shangri-La Rasa Ria, Kota Kinabalu is seeking a Lifeguard (Contract) to join our Safety & Security Division. You will monitor pool and beach areas, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies with first aid or CPR while maintaining a vigilant, professional presence.

You will also conduct safety checks, assist with water quality, and educate guests on water safety and behavior. A strong swim ability and customer service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification (Bronze Medallion by ILS) is required.
• First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
• Strong swimming and rescue skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming areas to ensure guest safety.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, perform rescues, and provide first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Conduct regular safety checks of the pool or beach area, equipment, and environment.
• Assist with pool maintenance, including water quality testing and cleanliness.
• Educate guests on water safety and appropriate behavior.
• Maintain a professional and alert presence at all times.
