Responsibilities

• Replace LRUs and perform engine/structural repairs per AMM/SRM.
• Ensure maintenance complies with Aviation Authority regulations and company policies.
• Update aircraft logbooks, work orders, and CMMS accurately.
• Manage tool calibration and inventory control.
• Provide rapid AOG support, including traveling with the aircraft if required.

Job Description: Licensed Aircraft Engineer

A Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) for a private operator ensures the airworthiness, safety, and reliability of company-operated fixed-wing aircraft. Unlike commercial airlines, private operations require high flexibility, a customer-service orientation, and the ability to work independently, often in remote locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Certification of Maintenance: Certify (sign off) maintenance tasks on airframe, engine, and avionics systems, issuing Certificates of Release to Service (CRS).
• Line Maintenance: Perform transit, daily, weekly, and scheduled maintenance checks.
• Troubleshooting & Defect Rectification: Diagnose and repair electrical, avionics, and mechanical defects.
• Component Replacement: Replace Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and perform engine/structural repairs according to AMM/SRM.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all maintenance complies with Aviation Authority regulations (e.g., AMEL CAAM, FAA -USA (A&P) Part-145/Part-M) and company policies.
• Technical Records: Accurately update aircraft logbooks, work orders, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Component & Tool Control: Manage tool calibration and inventory control.
• AOG Support: Provide rapid response support for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations, including travelling with the aircraft if required.

Requirements & Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

Must hold AMEL CAAM B1.1/B2 or FAA USA (A&P) License.

Experience

Maintenance experience, preferably with private/corporate jet experience.

Language

Proficient in technical English (written and spoken).

Medical & Security

Physically fit and able to obtain airport security passes.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications / Advantages

Possession of a valid Type Rating on company-specific aircraft (e.g., Gulfstream IV, Gulfstream 450 and Boeing 767) will be considered a significant advantage.

Accredited Type Training Courses.

Experience in high-end business jet avionics (EFIS, FMS, Autopilot systems).

Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting.
