Job summary

RELX INC in Malaysia is seeking a Legal Analyst to support expansion, maintenance, and publication of Hong Kong legislative content across LexisNexis products. Qualifications

  • LLB, JD, or equivalent law degree.
  • Must be able to read and write Traditional Chinese.
  • Strong understanding of Hong Kong legislation, statutory interpretation, and legislative research.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
  • High level of accuracy with strong editorial, proofreading, and quality assurance skills.
  • Experience interpreting legislative amendments and maintaining legislative publications or legal databases.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal research platforms.
  • Willingness to work with AI-enabled editorial technologies and evolving legal publishing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Hong Kong legislation, Bills, subordinate legislation, and related legal developments.
  • Analyse legislative amendments and accurately implement statutory updates across digital legal products.
  • Prepare and maintain legislative histories, editor's notes, commencement information, effective date notes, cross-references, and statutory annotations.
  • Develop legislative roadmaps identifying amendments, repeals, commencement provisions, savings, transitional provisions, and consequential legislative changes.
  • Verify legislative citations, statutory history, and legal references through legal research.
  • Conduct editorial review and quality assurance to ensure legislative content remains accurate, complete, and current.
  • Support the expansion of Hong Kong legislation collections by preparing new content for publication in accordance with editorial standards.
  • Apply legal expertise to verify AI-assisted legislative analysis, metadata, summaries, and editorial outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AI prompts, workflows, editorial processes, and quality assurance practices.
  • Collaborate with technology and product teams to support the adoption and continuous enhancement of AI-enabled editorial solutions.
  • Deliver legislative updates in accordance with publishing schedules, editorial priorities, and service level expectations.
  • Manage multiple concurrent legislative projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Support content expansion initiatives, new legislation onboarding, and product enhancement activities.
  • Participate in product reviews and content improvement initiatives to ensure legislative collections continue to meet customer needs.
  • Contribute to scalable editorial processes that support increasing legislative coverage across Hong Kong.
  • Collaborate with editorial, product, technology, production, and operations teams to deliver high-quality legislative content.
  • Work with external vendors, freelancers, and legal contributors to support legislative publishing activities where required.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Hong Kong legislation during cross-functional initiatives and product development projects.
  • Respond to customer feedback and legislative content queries in a professional and timely manner.

About the Role

The Legal Analyst is responsible for supporting the expansion, maintenance, and publication of Hong Kong legislative content across LexisNexis legal products and digital platforms. The role ensures the integrity, accuracy, utility, and currency of legislation by analysing legislative developments, implementing statutory updates, and maintaining high editorial standards.

The position will support the planned expansion of Hong Kong legislation coverage by managing increased content intake, maintaining existing legislative collections, and delivering timely legislative updates. Working closely with editorial, technology, product, and operations teams, the role also contributes to AI-enabled editorial workflows and continuous improvements that enhance scalability, quality, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
