Job summary

ams OSRAM in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Product Engineer to manage the lifecycle of LED products (with/without built-in IC). You will drive yield data analysis, BOM updates, and PFMEA while collaborating with process, production, and R&D teams to ensure targets are met.

The role requires experience in LED manufacturing, with strong communication across Europe and China; Malay, Chinese, English, or German language skills are a plus. Open to candidates in Bayan Lepas area, Malaysia.

Qualifications

Degree/Master in Material Eng/Mechanical Eng/electronics Eng/Physics/Manufacturing Engineering.
Min 3 years of experience in LED Manufacturing / Semiconductors Field. Min 5 years in Product Engineering, Product Development or Product Characterization in LED Manufacturing. IC knowledge is a plus.
Able to communicate with Europe and China; fluency in Malay, Chinese, English and/or German is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsible & Manage Product Life Cycle for LED products.
Responsible for yield data analysis, yield target setting and forecast yield setting; coordinate with Process Engineering/Chip Change/Production on yield improvement.
Update/revise product BOM, set up new product 11series, PFMEA and related documentation; support change projects.
PVDB changes review and test program updates approval.
Monitor static distribution and drive for spec optimization; manage maverick procedures and issue resolution.
Lead/ support internal/external quality issues; coordinate reliability monitoring submission.
