Job summary

Caring Hearts Bhd in Butterworth is seeking a Learning Centre Assistant Teacher to support lessons, activities and classroom routines, and to assist the Learning Centre Teacher in group work and student progress. The role focuses on fostering a caring, safe learning environment for children.

Qualifications

• Must have a heart for children and a desire to help them succeed.
• Patience, kindness, responsibility, and willingness to learn.
• Enjoy working with children and supporting their individual needs.
• Ability to work cooperatively with the team and follow guidance.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• No prior teaching experience required; experience with children is an advantage.
• Basic digital skills and willingness to develop new skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance.
• Willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the daily status of the classroom and operational matters with the Learning Centre Teacher.
• Prepare classrooms, teaching materials, devices, and other resources before class and each term.
• Take and maintain accurate daily attendance records of all students and volunteers; upload progress.
• Adhere to SOPs related to health, safety, security, cleanliness, and maintenance of equipment and premises.
• Comply with child safeguarding requirements, including signing and adhering to the Child Protection Policy.
• Assist the Learning Centre Teacher in fee collection when assigned.
