in Johor is seeking an SMT Engineer (Production) to support CM in operating SMT/DIP equipment, troubleshoot PCBA production issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize parameters. You will document processes, collaborate with PCBA manufacturing, engineering, procurement and QA to implement design changes and process improvements, and apply lean methods like Kaizen and 5S to reduce waste and shorten cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in PCBA/electronics manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with SMT/DIP processes and quality audits is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT/DIP equipment and troubleshoot PCBA issues to minimize downtime.
• Document processes, procedures, and work instructions for quality compliance.
• Collaborate with PCBA manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and QA to implement design changes and improvements.
• Apply lean production methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
• Analyze workstation layouts to enhance production efficiency.
• Estimate PCBA production times and develop schedules to meet customer deadlines.
• Execute FAI, IPQC, and FQC audits and provide improvement recommendations.
• Perform under pressure and meet work demands.
• Overtime and short-term overseas travel (e.g., U.S., Taiwan) up to one month may be required.
