deugro Projects (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Lead Transport Engineer for the APAC region, based in Malaysia or Indonesia with potential for Singapore consideration.

The role focuses on complex transport engineering, tender leadership, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure feasible routes and commercial impact. You will manage project teams, coordinate with regional management, and deliver drawings, calculations, and method statements while maintaining QA standards and client

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on complex transport engineering requests for tender and execution.
• Lead project team in the best interest of the project and align with line managers.
• Provide regular updates to Regional Director and support clients through engineering issues.
• Develop and review method statements, drawings, and calculations.
• Produce QA artifacts and maintain engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking the lead on extraordinary and more complex transport engineering request for tender and execution
  
• Leading the project team in the best interest of the project.
  
• Aligning regularly with the relevant dteq line manager of your team members
  
• Regular Project Updates to the relevant Regional Director
  
• Supporting clients in all transport engineering related issues of the project from early stages until execution with a strong focus on commercial impact of the solutions proposed
  
• Maintaining project related communication and ensuring deadlines are realistic and achievable
  
• Accountable for meeting project engineering related deadlines.
  
• Technical and engineering support for the dteq team, consulting staff as requested
  
• Technical QA (Quality assurance) in use of technical standards and guidelines
  
• Producing and maintaining technical standards (e.g. calculations, tools and templates)
  
• Specific planning & execution of ODC & Heavy Lift moves across all modes of transport & handling
  
• Execution of tailor‑made route, port & site surveys; considering cargo details, means of transport, infrastructure as well as local & international legislation
  
• Production and/or review of method statements, drawings (by ACAD) & calculations
  
• Completes heavy transport, heavy engineering and installation of custom mechanical and rigging designs
  
• Provide design drawings and calculations to clients
  
• Maintains project documentations containing engineering drawings, calculations, ballast plans, feasibility studies and project correspondence
  
• Works in many disciplinary fields with a wide range of equipment and techniques like heavy lifting, transportation and rail transport
  
• Set‑Up and Maintenance of databases
  
• Supports deugro Project Managers with technical and commercial proposals as well as presentations

• Willingness to travel approximately 20–25% as required.
