Job summary

Sandisk in Penang is seeking a Test Equipment Engineer to own the test handler platform, improve reliability, and lead data-driven quality initiatives. You will drive root-cause analyses and CAPA actions while coordinating with maintenance and manufacturing teams.

The role requires strong electronics knowledge, hands-on debugging, and experience with automation, DMAIC methods, and equipment qualification. A degree in engineering plus 5+ years in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering is preferred.
• 5+ years in test/equipment engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of test interfaces and automation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and ownership of test handler, defining standards for performance, reliability, and sustainability.
• Drive root cause investigations and CAPA implementation to prevent quality issues.
• Lead equipment installation, buyoff, and qualification activities.
• Govern and verify Preventive Maintenance quality with teams.
• Oversee spare parts strategy and inventory management.
• Mentor test equipment engineers and technicians.
