Job summary

Grab, Southeast Asia's leading superapp, is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to oversee a portfolio of complex programs and drive AI-enabled automation across SEA. Based onsite in Petaling Jaya, you will partner with senior leaders to evolve TPM into strategic leadership with AI-assisted execution.

You will manage cross-functional workstreams, emphasize robust engineering practices, and shape impactful, scalable internal tooling with CI/CD maturity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technical program management or similar.
• Experience driving strategic initiatives and cross-functional technical programs.
• Strong communication and partnership with leadership.
• Foundational software engineering knowledge and deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

Get to know the Role

Reporting to the Head of Technical Program Management, you will be an individual contributor managing a portfolio of complex, projects from start to finish across different topics focusing on how Grab serves businesses across SEA. You will be at the forefront of the TPM Cyborganization vision, ensuring the function evolves into one optimized for strategic leadership, influence, and AI-augmented execution.

Role will be based onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Strategic Program Leadership: Focus on driving strategic plans, complex cross-functional programs, and org-wide change management. You will apply a high proportion of effort to high-value, strategic activities.
• AI-Enabled Workflow Replacement: Identify, define, and build automating high-impact toil. This involves design, develop, and deploy AI-tools and agents that uses LLM to automate program execution toil work.
• Tool Building & Deployment:
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-tools and agents that automate program execution toil work.
• One of your formal performance goals will be "AI-enabled workflow replacement".
• This must include building a tool that uses LLMs as part of its core functionality
• Engineering Practice: Apply foundational engineering skills and structured software development practices to create robust and scalable internal tooling. This includes:
• Apply best practices for API and architecture design.
• Use version control (Git) and participating in code review practices.
• Familiarity with deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and production considerations.
• Stakeholder & Team Engagement: Accelerate impact, build teams, and drive prioritization. You will work with cross-functional teams and leadership stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules.

This role is based onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need:

• With minimum 10 years of experience.
• Experience driving strategic initiatives and managing cross-functional technical programs with collaboration at the core.
• Balance execution excellence with a builder's mindset, contributing both to delivery and innovation.
• Strong track record of enabling outcomes through communication and partnership with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Solid foundational understanding of software engineering concepts and development practices (e.g., system architecture, clean code, deployment workflows).
• Hands-on experience with AI/automation tools and applying them to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• Familiarity with n8n and Cursor for workflow automation is beneficial.
• Work in a fast and evolving environment with autonomy, initiative, and shared decision-making.
