Job summary

Sungrow in Sabah, Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead service operations in pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs. The role ensures WHS compliance and coordinates cross-functional efforts to meet service targets.

The successful candidate will have a engineering degree, 3+ years in renewable energy service, 2+ years solar PV hands-on experience, and strong leadership and communication skills. English is essential; Chinese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering-related courses.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in service in the renewable energy industry or power electronics industry.
• Hands-on Solar PV experience for at least 2 years (project installation and commissioning).
• High level of commitment and responsiveness.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
• Strong technical understanding of energy storage systems and PV Inverter.
• Project management skills in an international environment with stakeholders across the globe.
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English. Chinese language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service management, process optimization, service offers and proposals.
• Conduct service sales work to meet the yearly target.
• Oversee the field service operation from pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance work, fault diagnosis, and repairs.
• Ensuring that the on-site services comply with the local work health and safety requirements.
• Planning and coordinating tasks as well as liaising with other divisions of the business to complete jobs in a timely manner.
• Keep a good record of the service cases, spare parts & unit inventory, consumption records, and service revenue & expenses.
• Organize, participate and accompany customers on long-term cooperation greeting and social activities.
• Communicate with the management, sales team, local service partners, and customers to support business development.
