Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (POS) in Malaysia to spearhead the design, development and delivery of enterprise-scale web and mobile applications.

You will drive architecture decisions, provide technical leadership across teams, manage application delivery, production support, and CI/CD, and champion modern software practices including Cloud, automation, and AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience developing and maintaining software applications.
• Strong expertise in JAVA 17+ and Springboot, RESTful APIs, VueJS, JavaScript & TypeScript.
• Experience with Micro Frontend Architecture, Kafka, AWS or Cloud Platforms, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

A Successful Lead Software Engineer (POS) Should Have

• Min 10 years of experience developing and maintaining software applications.
• Strong expertise in JAVA 17 and above, Springboot, RESTful APIs, VueJS, Javascript & Typescript
• Experience with Micro Frontend Architecture, Kafka & Event-Driven Architecture, AWS or Cloud Platforms, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to design practical technical solutions based on business requirements.
• Experience reviewing code and supporting sound development practices.
• Capability to investigate system issues and deliver effective fixes.
• Experience preparing clear technical documentation.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to understand and address system needs.
