Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Programmer/Developer to design, develop, integrate and maintain application systems from both front-end and back-end perspectives. You will lead and support a development team while solving complex problems and delivering high-quality software.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with Angular and Java Spring Boot, plus containerization with Rancher and database work with Oracle and DB2.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Previous experience in leading a development team or strong leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of software development practices and application integration.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain application systems according to project requirements.
• Develop and enhance front-end and back-end components using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Perform system integration with databases, APIs and third-party platforms.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application and system issues efficiently.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts and technical team members to deliver projects within agreed timelines.
• Prepare technical documentation related to development and system implementation.
• Provide technical support during deployment and post-implementation activities.
• Lead and guide team members on development activities when required.
• Support technical discussions, solution development and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
