Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or similar domain.
• Related professional/technical qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in web and mobile application development using agile or DevOps methodology and 3 years in leading software development team.
• Strong proficiency and experience in Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Reactive, and Rest APIs.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) will be advantageous.
• Experience with Kafka, MQ and event-driven systems.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiar with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) will be advantageous.
• Experience with iOS mobile apps management/ development, ApplePay and other related services in the apple ecosystem will be advantageous.
• Worked in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment with strong appreciation of change/version control process and methodologies.
• Working knowledge of UML or equivalent design artifacts is required.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, HPQC, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Knowledge of emerging technologies/platforms in Mobility, Analytics, Cloud, GenAI and AGI with a strong self-initiative to keep up with Digital trends.
• Application performance monitoring and tuning experience is desired.
• Worked on / have certification in Cloud technologies is an advantage.
• Good teamwork, good interpersonal and negotiation skill, working independently is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership in the design, development, and delivery of web and mobile applications.
• Act as a strong problem solver, able to assess issues from multiple perspectives, and collaborate with specialist teams to resolve complex challenges.
• Own and support end-to-end application delivery and BAU operations, including bug fixes, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
• Govern and support CI/CD implementation and deployment processes across SIT, UAT, and Production environments.
• Review and integrate third-party SDKs and tools and ensure alignment with standards and security controls.
• Take accountability for identifying, escalating, and managing technical, delivery, security, and compliance risks.
• Partner with testers, vendors, product, and domain teams to ensure quality testing outcomes.
• Mentor engineers, reinforce coding best practices, and promote knowledge sharing.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging threats, AI/GenAI technologies, and improve delivery efficiency.

This role exists to provide senior technical leadership that solves complex challenges, supports the development of engineering talent, and delivers high-quality web solutions aligned with the organization’s business objective.

• Provide senior technical leadership in the design, development, and delivery of web and mobile applications, contributing to architecture decisions and ensuring scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
• Act as a strong problem solver, able to assess issues from multiple perspectives, challenge the status quo, and collaborate with specialist teams (e.g. security, compliance, testing, vendors) to resolve complex technical and delivery challenges.
• Own and support end-to-end application delivery and BAU operations, including bug fixes, performance tuning, minor enhancements, incident resolution, and root cause analysis, with L3 support as required.
• Govern and support CI/CD implementation and deployment processes across SIT, UAT, and Production environments, promoting automation, test-driven development, and reliable release practices.
• Review and integrate third-party SDKs and tools (e.g. analytics, messaging, notification services) and ensure solutions align with architecture standards, security controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Take accountability for identifying, escalating, and managing technical, delivery, security, and compliance risks, proposing practical workarounds and resolutions to minimize impact to project timelines and business outcomes.
• Partner closely with testers, vendors, product, and domain teams to ensure completion of functional, non-functional, and security testing with agreed quality outcomes.
• Mentor and guide engineers by reinforcing coding best practices, supporting professional development, and encouraging knowledge sharing across teams.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging threats, modern engineering practices, AI/GenAI technologies, and contribute ideas that improve delivery efficiency, quality, and business value.
