Job summary

NPAworldwide seeks an experienced Tooling Design Engineer to shape mechanical product structures in plastic and to develop comprehensive tooling solutions for R&D projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering; master's preferred.
• 5+ years in tooling design and development, ideally R&D or product development.
• Proficiency with CAD software and simulation tools; strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical product structures (plastic) to meet requirements.
• Create tooling solutions for R&D projects including fixtures, molds, dies, and manufacturing aids.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to optimize tooling designs.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing to align tooling objectives.
• Use CAD and simulation tools to model tooling designs for functionality and cost-effectiveness.
• Evaluate materials, technologies, and processes to enhance tooling performance.
• Document drawings, specifications, and test reports for tooling solutions.
• Provide technical support to resolve tooling issues during development and production.
