Job summary

Sandisk in Penang (Batu Kawan) is seeking a Staff Quality Assurance Engineer to establish and maintain robust quality systems across manufacturing, ensuring product requirements are met from incoming materials through final test.

You will partner with operations and engineering to drive improvements, lead 8D investigations, and implement preventive actions. A degree in engineering with ASQ/quality experience and knowledge of ISO 9001 and Six Sigma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quality, Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• ASQ certification preferred with 12 years working experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and statistical methods.
• Ability to handle inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies and auditors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with high-volume semiconductor manufacturing and Automotive (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Establish quality control systems and product requirement rules.
• Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, specifications, forms, checklists, reports, etc.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to develop and implement controls and improvements.
• Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team.
• Provide technical and regulatory QA testing and inspection expertise.
• Monitor, analyze and report quality-related KPIs.
• Lead 8D investigations and corrective actions.
• Implement preventive actions to reduce quality problems.
