Job summary

Malakoff Corporation Berhad is seeking a capable Project Manager / Project Engineer to support the development and execution of the Large Scale Solar (LSS) project in Sarawak. The role requires coordinating project activities, ensuring smooth execution of engineering and construction works, and delivering the project on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in project management or engineering in power/renewable energy.
• Experience in Large Scale Solar or utility-scale renewables is an advantage.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and construction activities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution from engineering to commissioning.
• Monitor progress to meet schedule, budget and specs.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal teams.
• Review designs, documents and project specifications.
• Assist in managing risks, issues and mitigations.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports and progress updates for management.
• Support site supervision during construction and installation.
