Job summary

Enovix Corporation in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a senior process engineer to develop, optimize, and sustain advanced manufacturing processes for battery production, focusing on productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in chemistry/engineering, strong data analysis and DOE skills, and experience with FMEA, QMS, and NPI. You will drive continuous improvement, lead electrode-related initiatives, and collaborate across internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• BS, or MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science with 5+ years industry experience.
• Experience with data analysis software, and SQL for database querying.
• Experience in battery or coating industry is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor process performance, troubleshoot process issues, and implement improvements to achieve operational excellence.
• Analyze process data and identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, yield improvement, and waste elimination.
• Perform FMEA, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation to resolve process-related issues.
• Establish and maintain Work Instructions, OCAP, FMEA and Control Plan documents as per QMS requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process capability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Perform process capability studies and statistical analysis to maintain stable production processes.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and process qualification activities. Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
• Prepare and present technical reports and process performance reviews.
• Lead electrode-related process improvements from development through production
• Work with internal and external teams to define and lead advanced and next-gen electrode development
• Design and run well-designed experiments based on DOE methodologies and cell design principles with data driven mindset.
