Mastercard Colombia, Inc. is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer in Network Site Reliability Engineering to improve global network service availability, scalability, security, and operability.

The role blends deep networking with software engineering, AI-assisted operations, and infrastructure automation while reducing manual effort and accelerating safe changes. The engineer will drive automation, observability, and policy-driven change across routing, switching, firewalls, and cloud networking,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, operating, or supporting large-scale production networks.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, NAT, and high-availability design.
• Hands-on programming or scripting in Python, Go, or Bash with API integration.
• Experience with network automation tools and infrastructure-as-code practices (Ansible, Terraform, Git workflows).

Responsabilités

• Lead reliability engineering for network services by identifying systemic risks and capacity constraints.
• Design and deliver network automation using Python, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for network changes with tests and policy checks.
• Create automated pre-change and post-change testing for reachability and telemetry.
• Apply AI-assisted operations to anomaly detection and remediation recommendations.
• Develop reusable network data models and observability patterns across environments.
• Advance network observability with metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed reliability in platform roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers in reliability, CI/CD, automation, and responsible AI use.
• Evaluate emerging network and AI technologies for practical reliability improvements.
