Job summary

Emerson in Malaysia seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support the Project Manager, interface with customers, resolve technical clarifications, and lead design activities per project specifications.

You will review documents, evaluate vendor quotes, coordinate skid fabrication, conduct FATs with inspectors, provide after-sales support, and coach engineers to deliver multiple projects on schedule. This role covers the full lifecycle from bidding to site commissioning and warranty.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Good personality, interpersonal savvy, communication skills, and self-motivated.
• Customer focused and results driven.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mechanical Engineer and assist Project Manager with customer interfaces.
• Lead meetings with Customers and End-Users.
• Review contract documents and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Perform engineering design, calculations, and drawings per project specs.
• Review vendor documents and evaluate quotes for compliance.
• Coordinate with project team on skid fabrication.
• Provide after-sales support and warranty assistance.
• Coach and guide engineers and designers.
