Maverick United Consulting Engineers in Kuala Lumpur invites a Lead Mechanical Engineer to head the mechanical design scope for projects in Malaysia. Based at Maverick's Bukit Jalil office, you will supervise engineers, drafters, and BIM resources to deliver timely, high-quality design and consultancy outputs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 10–15 years in consultancy, strong HVAC systems knowledge, and expertise in BIM tools like Revit and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of mechanical engineering design experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, piping and related systems.
• Experience in design development, technical reviews and leading engineering teams.
• Familiarity with BIM tools (Revit/Navisworks) and ASHRAE/SMACNA/BS/EN standards and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design scope and deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership to Mechanical Engineers, drafters, and BIM resources.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, structural, and civil disciplines.
• Lead design reviews, constructability assessments, BIM coordination, and clash resolution.
• Support procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
