Job summary

Esker is seeking a Lead Instructional Designer based in Kuala Lumpur to steer strategy, design, and development of high-impact product enablement and sales training within a SaaS environment.

You will lead e-learning initiatives, mentor junior designers, and partner with SMEs to convert complex content into effective courseware while ensuring consistency with Esker branding and standards.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of instructional design experience.
• Expert-level proficiency with Articulate Rise and Storyline.
• Strong background in adult learning theory (andragogy).
• Experience designing interactive, high-impact e-learning.
• Strong understanding of SCORM, x-API/Tin Can, and related learning technologies for interoperability.
• Strong visual/illustrative design skills.
• Strong video editing, voice over, and language translation experience using AI tools.
• Experience working in agile environments (ADDIE, SAM).
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and SMEs.
• Experience in SaaS and GTM processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of engaging e-learning courses using Articulate Rise and Storyline.
• Apply adult learning (andragogy) principles to create effective learning experiences.
• Design and develop learning guides, workshop materials, and learning aids as necessary.
• Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to transform raw content into compelling, memorable, and impactful courseware.
• Drive end-to-end instructional design processes using ADDIE or SAM methodologies
• Mentor junior designers and developers
• Ensure consistency in Esker visual design, branding, and learning standards
• Support certification programs and assessment for customer-facing roles
• Continuously evaluate and improve training effectiveness.

Lead Instructional Designer (Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

Overview

We are seeking a Lead Instructional Designer to drive the strategy, design, and development of high-impact, adult-learning-based product enablement and sales effectiveness training. This role will primarily lead the creation of interactive e-learning and some occasional classroom-style (ILT) experiences that support sales and customer-facing teams in a SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities
