Job summary

EMS PROGRESS Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Lead Forester to oversee and coordinate forestry activities at the Baleh project site in Kapit, Sarawak. You will lead consultancy services and site supervision, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and project standards.

The role requires 15+ years of forestry project experience in Sarawak, a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, forestry, or environmental science, and strong communication and contractor-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate consultancy services and site supervision at the project site full-time.
• Ensure timely completion of contract deliverables as per scope.
• Review tender documents for works specifications and tender submissions.
• Prepare submissions to relevant authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead inspection and verification of contractors' progressive claims.
• Provide regular updates on project progress and site activities.
• Engage with stakeholders and authorities on project matters.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Forester to support the Supervision Stage of our project in Baleh, Kapit, Sarawak. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating forestry-related activities at the project site, ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with project requirements, procedures and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

Full time at site to lead and coordinate the Consultancy Services and site supervision activities on a full-time basis at the project site.

Ensure timely completion of Contract deliverables based on Scope of Services.

Review tender document for the project works Specifications and tenderers technical and unpriced submission.

Undertake submissions to relevant approving authorities and obtain approvals including to ensure compliance to regulatory and contractual requirements.

Lead the inspection and verification of work done for contractors' progressive claim.

Liaise with EMS Progress and provide regular updates on project progress, site activities and deliverables.

Resolve technical issue and site issue relating to the project.

Lead and coordinate engagement with stakeholder and authorities on project related matters.

About you

At least 15 years of experience in managing logging or similar forestry projects in Sarawak.

Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, forestry, environmental science or relevant field.

Proven experience in site supervision, forestry operations and contractor management.

Good communication, coordination and reporting skills.
