Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific is seeking a Technical Engineer in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will lead engineering operations and supervise technicians, vendors and subcontractors to deliver reliable building services.

You will provide preventive maintenance, repairs, and coordination of downtime, ensuring safety and compliance with codes while driving efficient and high-quality facility operations for our clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, with relevant experience.
• Physical requirements as listed (stooping, standing, lifting).
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on multiple information sources.

Responsibilities

• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Oversee operations, assign work orders, and train staff.
• Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Oversee and inspect work by engineering staff.
• Ensure equipment is fully functional and spaces are ready for use.
