Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors seeks a maintenance-focused engineer to own equipment uptime and set up SAP PM across production lines, defining maintenance procedures.

You will monitor machine parameters daily, perform hardware/software troubleshooting, and collaborate with process engineers to achieve CpK, yield, and EHS compliance. The role also covers start-up support for new equipment and continuous improvement with the global team.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance and uptime management.
• Ability to set up SAP PM and write maintenance work instructions (TWI).
• Familiarity with CpK, yield, and process stability objectives.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for equipment performance uptime; define maintenance procedures and perform maintenance to sustain machine condition.
• Set up SAP PM and maintenance instructions for the responsible area; support KPIs and process stability, output, CpK and yield.
• Daily monitoring of all machine parameters and troubleshooting hardware/software on tools; apply in situ measurement systems.
• Leadership potential to guide technicians in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, PM planning, and lifespan studies.
• Collaborate with process engineers to address chronic equipment failures and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain records and logs of equipment failures, investigations, and corrective actions as required by quality systems (FMEA, Control Plan).
• Support start-up and qualification of new equipment with process engineers; ensure compliance to EHS policies.
