Job summary

ams OSRAM is seeking a technically skilled technician to oversee MOCVD reactors and supporting tools within the epitaxy fab. You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor critical process parameters, and sustain equipment uptime while addressing line issues.

Collaboration with process engineers is essential for equipment startup and qualification. The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, hands-on experience with MOCVD systems, and knowledge of safety and cleanroom

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with MOCVD reactors and high-temperature furnaces.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and toxic gas handling principles.
• Ability to implement hardware standardization projects.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MOCVD reactors and support tools in the epitaxy fab.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment uptime.
• Monitor machine and process parameters; troubleshoot line issues.
• Transfer and startup new equipment with process engineer.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and 5S in cleanroom.
• Assist development activities and technical transfer from overseas.

Job description

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the performance of MOCVD reactors and other associated support tools such as abatement and furnace oven in the manufacturing epitaxy fab/fabrication.
• Performing machine schedule maintenance activities in clean room and sub facility with closure SAP PM timely without any safety and quality issue.
• Sustain the running of the equipment, daily monitoring of all machine & process parameters and addressing line operation issues, ensure the uptime of the equipment with establish and implement preventive maintenance.
• Perform troubleshooting of the epitaxy tool software and hardware part with application of measurement systems, assist engineer's tasks in manufacturing and also equipment development activities.
• Transfer and start-up of new equipment, set-up procedure, hook-up, buy-off and qualification of new equipment together with process engineer as team, ensure processes and equipment are compliance to EHS policy.
• Perform continuous improvement to identify equipment development potential, and support development activities, perform technical transfer from overseas.
• Compliance to EHS and safety regulations with high awareness on safety requirement. Keep production workplace 5S and comply to cleanroom protocol.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in MOCVD reactors, high temperature furnaces, in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, robot handling and toxic gas handling principles.
• Ability to perform mini hardware implementation project to apply hardware standardization and matching.
• Experience on MOCVD reactors, high temperature furnaces, in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum and toxic gas handling principles.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia preferable.
