Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development in meeting vehicle targets, regulations, manufacturing, aftermarket service and market requirements.
- Lead the adoption and development of engineering specifications related to engine integration design.
- Research, strategize and lead the implementation of technology.
- Support Procurement and Quality departments in assessing potential suppliers through technical assessments and plant audits.
- Advise team and other functional heads to understand all necessary aspects and needs of product, manufacturing, and quality.
- Cost Management
- Lead the management of BOM and component and system design changes or new development to meet technical requirements and within target cost.
- Lead the continuous VAVE efforts through design-to-cost, benchmarking and assessment of potential competitive suppliers.
- Quality Management
- Become a key member of APQP team in quality management for new projects.
- Lead improvements based on feedback from the market, production assembly and aftermarket service.
- Lead and develop SOP and engineering specifications and manage ISO related documentations.
- Project Management
- Manage the implementation of components and systems for new projects.
- Manage, build rapport, and ensure all design and development aspects with internal and external were communicated, delivered, and resolved.
