Job summary
Rohde & Schwarz Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Lead Engineer to lead our Final Device Assembly & Test operations in a growing electronics manufacturing environment. You will establish strong shopfloor routines, develop people, and drive improvements to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets.
You will supervise assembly, test, inspection, and packing activities, coordinating with Engineering, Quality, SCM, NPI, and R&D to solve problems and support manufacturing
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in production, manufacturing, assembly, or related operations.
- Experience leading a team of operators/technicians on a shopfloor.
- Solid understanding of final device assembly, module integration, testing, and final inspection.
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, 5S, ESD, safety standards, and production traceability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Final Device Assembly & Test team to support growth.
- Establish daily shopfloor routines for stable output, clear priorities, safe conditions, and reliable delivery.
- Monitor production performance via output, WIP, bottlenecks, manpower, quality, test status, and equipment readiness.
- Supervise device assembly, module integration, functional test, final inspection, and packing.
- Drive issue escalation for production risks, material shortages, equipment/tester problems, and deviations.
- Collaborate with Production Engineering, Quality, SCM, NPI, and R&D to improve processes and reduce defects.
- Develop team skills, ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement mindset.
