Job summary

Swift in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the adoption, standardization, and maturity of software delivery practices across Swift. You will act as a trusted advisor to engineering teams, promoting DevOps maturity, embedding security, resilience, and compliance controls into pipelines, and guiding the adoption of platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software delivery, DevOps, automation, or platform engineering.
• Proven experience driving DevOps transformation and adoption across multiple teams.
• Experience with security, compliance, and governance in software delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Overview

As a Lead DevOps Engineer within the Customer Success team, you will drive the adoption, standardization, and maturity of software delivery practices across Swift. Acting as a trusted advisor to engineering teams, you will help accelerate DevOps transformation, promote devops practices adoption, and embed security, resilience, and compliance controls into software delivery processes. You will play a key role in Release Orchestration adoption, Orchestrated Patching Services, DevOps maturity evolution, Compliance-as-Code initiatives, and engineering transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps Transformation & Adoption

• Drive adoption of Release Orchestration, Orchestrated Patching, and DevOps Engineering Services.
• Assess delivery practices and define improvement roadmaps.
• Coach teams on DevOps, DevSecOps, and software delivery best practices.
• Accelerate onboarding and enable successful adoption of platform capabilities.

Compliance & Resilience Enablement

• Promote Compliance-as-Code and Policy-as-Code principles.
• Embed security, compliance, and resilience controls into delivery pipelines.
• Support regulatory initiatives through automation and standardized engineering practices.
• Drive audit readiness through automated evidence collection and traceability.

Engineering Standards & Platform Enablement

• Define and promote reusable pipeline blueprints, architectural patterns, and best practices.
• Contribute to platform standardization and self-service capabilities.
• Reduce engineering toil through automation and process simplification.

Customer Success & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor to Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and delivery teams.
• Gather customer feedback and influence platform evolution.
• Build strong partnerships across engineering, architecture, security, and platform teams.
• Champion customer value realization and DevOps maturity progression.

Leadership & Community

• Mentor engineers and support knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Contribute to DevOps communities of practice, training, and enablement initiatives.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in software delivery, DevOps, automation, or platform engineering.
• Proven experience driving DevOps transformation and adoption across multiple teams.
• Experience working with security, compliance, and governance requirements in software delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Technical Skills

• DevOps and DevSecOps practices
• CI/CD platforms (CloudBees CI/CD/RO, Jenkins, Git, Nexus, or equivalent)
• Automation technologies (Python, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent)
• Container platforms (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
• Linux/Unix environments

Experience with Compliance-as-Code, release orchestration, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, or DevOps maturity assessments is an asset.
