Fusion Consulting AG is seeking a skilled Data Modeler (Snowflake) to design and implement scalable Snowflake data models for regional data warehouses integrated into a centralized platform. You will work with data engineering, architecture, and governance teams across a global, remote-friendly environment.

The role emphasizes Snowflake modeling proficiency, SQL expertise, and collaboration with tools like Collibra, dbt, Matillion, and Fivetran to ensure compliant, well-documented data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Modeler.
• Proven leading experience.
• Snowflake physical data modeling and SQL expertise.
• Experience with data integration/ETL/ELT and tools like dbt, Matillion, or Fivetran.
• Data Vault 2.0 is a must.
• Experience with metadata and governance platforms (Collibra).
• Familiarity with AWS services, especially S3.
• Knowledge of star schema, normalization, and data vault.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement physical data models in Snowflake, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Translate conceptual and logical models into Snowflake-ready schemas, tables, and views.
• Collaborate with data engineers to refine ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns.
• Align models and metadata with governance standards and tools, including Collibra.
• Ensure all modeling and transformation logic is well-documented for traceability and compliance.
• Support performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines.
• Work in a distributed, global environment with both technical and business stakeholders.
