Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Malaysia is seeking a senior civil/structural engineer to lead all civil and structural activities for an industrial project. You will review designs, supervise foundations, steelwork, piling, and site civil works while coordinating with architectural, mechanical, and process teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, 10+ years of relevant experience, and preferred PEng registration with BEM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in civil and structural engineering, including industrial structures, foundations, and piling works.
• Experience in design, construction, and supervision of structural steel, reinforced concrete, building foundations, and industrial facilities.
• PMC/Owner's Engineer experience and semiconductor project experience is an added advantage.
• Professional Engineer (PEng) registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is preferred.
• Malaysian candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all civil and structural engineering activities for the project, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and contractual obligations.
• Provide technical leadership for structural steel works, piling, foundations, reinforced concrete structures, building envelope interfaces, roofing systems, site civil works, and related infrastructure.
• Review and approve civil and structural designs, calculations, geotechnical recommendations, shop drawings, method statements, fabrication drawings, and contractor submissions.
• Coordinate civil and structural interfaces with architectural, mechanical, electrical, cleanroom, process, commissioning, and construction teams for integrated project delivery.
• Monitor contractor performance for quality, safety, schedule, piling activities, structural erection, inspections, testing, and compliance with project requirements.
• Support constructability reviews, value engineering, risk management, change control, and resolution of civil/structural issues.
• Participate in site inspections, structural assessments, construction activities, testing, handover, and close-out of CSA works.
