Job summary

Weir is seeking a Boilerman stationed at Batu Caves on a rotating 3-shift schedule. The contract (fixed term) role focuses on safe operation and maintenance of high‑pressure boilers, with responsibilities across utilities, safety and site compliance.

You will work with the Facility Engineer and Engineering Manager, ensuring uptime and adherence to energy-saving initiatives while supporting a world‑class safety culture.

Qualifications

• Certified Grade 1 Boilerman Certificate (JKKP Malaysia/DOSH) is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience operating large industrial boilers in manufacturing or production.
• Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise high‑pressure steam boilers continuously, monitor steam pressure, and manage release valves to ensure safe performance.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance activities for the powerhouse and facilities to maximise uptime.
• Perform routine cleaning, repairs and parts replacement on boiler components to maintain compliance and safety inspections.
• Oversee utilities on site and monitor fuel supply levels to support production needs.
• Support energy-saving initiatives and participate in safety culture and inspections.
• Collaborate with the Facility Engineer and Engineering Manager, and assist maintenance teams during inspections.
