Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a motivated Junior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. You will help build, optimize, and maintain high-performance web applications and internal tools using Python for backend, SQL databases, and modern frontend interfaces.

You will work across the stack, employing Claude Code to speed up prototyping, code refactoring, test generation, and documentation, while ensuring code quality and security across the system.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience in web development.
• Proficiency in SQL and standard relational database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Modern Developer Tooling: Claude Code or similar AI-driven CLI tools.

Responsibilities

• Web Application Development: design, build, and maintain responsive, full-stack web applications.
• Backend & API Systems: develop clean, scalable backend logic and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• AI-Assisted Engineering: leverage Claude Code to speed up prototyping, code refactoring, test generation, and documentation.
• Database Management: write efficient SQL queries, design database schemas, and optimize relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Maintenance & Debugging: identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security issues.
• Code Quality: write clean, modular code adhering to industry best practices.
