Job summary

ZHENGXI TECHNOLOGY SDN BHD in Malaysia’s Sepang area is seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC lathe machines for precision components.

You will read engineering drawings, select tools, perform turning and related operations, and conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. The role requires attention to detail, safety, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, precision machining, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Lathe Machinist.
• Experience with manual and CNC lathe machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and machining specifications.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection methods.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming and machine offsets is an advantage.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC lathe machines for precision machining.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
• Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, and grooving.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets to meet dimensions.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Maintain clean, safe machining area and report issues.
