Kerry is hiring a Laboratory Executive, Food Emulsifiers in Shah Alam, Malaysia. You will manage laboratory operations, ensure quality systems, and collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders in a matrix organization.

The role requires a Chemistry degree and knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards, with 1 year of QC lab experience in related industries. Strong communication and a customer-focused mindset are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, GMP, and SHE systems would be an advantage.
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience in a Quality Control laboratory within chemical or food emulsifiers related processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate across audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain laboratory functions including equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and verification.
• Monitor analytical results for incoming materials and in-process products.
• Set up new inspection parameters and quality plans in SAP for new products.
• Monitor product stability and contribute to HACCP and GMP maintenance and improvement.

About the role

The Laboratory Executive, Food Emulsifiers is responsible for managing the process and main laboratories and supporting the laboratory quality systems for food emulsifier operations. The role involves a wide range of activities, including working with suppliers on incoming raw material quality and carrying out measurements and assessments of in-process and finished product samples.

Reporting to the Laboratory Assistant Manager, this role will also develop and maintain laboratory quality systems, while working collaboratively with stakeholders across a matrix organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain overall laboratory functions, including arranging equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and verification.
• Monitor analytical results for incoming materials and in-process products.
• Set up new inspection parameters and quality plans in SAP as required for new products.
• Monitor product stability and shelf-life extension.
• Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of HACCP and GMP management systems.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or an equivalent relevant qualification..
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, GMP, and SHE systems would be an advantage.
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience working in a Quality Control laboratory within the chemical or food emulsifiers related process industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both individuals and groups and adapt communication to different audiences.
• Good customer focus, with the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and prioritize customer satisfaction.
