Envilab Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Analyst to manage daily lab operations and ensure ISO 17025 compliance in a high-volume setting. You will perform analytical testing across ICP, GC, UV, and AAS instruments, develop methods, and calibrate equipment.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years in environmental/analytical labs, strong attention to detail, and the ability to travel for sampling as needed. Safety and data integrity are paramount in this role.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
• Registered Chemist with IKM is an advantage.
• 1–2 years of experience in environmental/food/analytical laboratory.
• Familiar with ICP, GC, UV, AAS or other analytical instruments.
• Able to work independently in a high-volume commercial lab with tight turnaround times.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Upholds rigorous lab safety and data integrity.
• Have own transportation and be willing to travel for work or sampling.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure daily laboratory operations comply with MS ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Assist supervisor to oversee subordinates in daily lab activities and ensure accuracy of test results.
• Perform laboratory analysis, develop testing methods, and calibrate/verify instruments.
• Conduct method verification, validation, and measurement uncertainty assessments.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with analytical procedures and equipment.
• Monitor QC standards and address deviations/non-conformities.
• Identify inefficiencies and contribute to workflow optimisation.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments per schedule.
• Perform site visits and sampling activities when required.
• Assist in purchasing laboratory consumables, chemicals, and equipment.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

What's your daily work are like:

• Ensure daily laboratory operations comply with MS ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Assist superior to supervise subordinates in daily laboratory activities, ensure accuracy, consistency and reliability of all test results.
• Perform laboratory analysis, develop testing methods, and conduct instrument/ equipment/ apparatus calibration and verification.
• Conduct method verification, validation, measurement uncertainty for testing methods applied.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to analytical procedures, equipment performance and other laboratory-related matters.
• Monitor QC standards and address any deviation of non-conformities.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to continuous workflow optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure all analytical instrument, equipment and apparatus are properly maintained and calibrated according to the required schedule.
• Perform site visits and sampling activities when required.
• Assist in purchasing of laboratory consumables, chemicals and equipment.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior.

What background we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent academic qualification.
• Registered Chemist with IKM will be an added advantage.
• 1–2-year experience in environmental / food / analytical laboratory.
• Familiar with ICP, GC, UV, AAS or other analytical instrument.
• Able to work independently under a high-volume commercial laboratory environment with tight turnaround times.
