Job summary

Our client is a global provider of materials testing, inspection, and certification services, supporting aerospace, automotive, energy, electronics, and manufacturing sectors. The team conducts soil, concrete, density, slump, and asphalt tests, and prepares detailed reports from lab findings.

Most work is lab-based with occasional site visits; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. Singapore-based or Malaysia-based opportunities may apply.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
• Experience with soil, concrete, aggregate, density, slump, and asphalt testing preferred.
• Willing to learn and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
• Lab-based role with occasional site visits.
• Mostly lab stationed with some travel duties a few times a year.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil, concrete and aggregate testing.
• Conduct density test.
• Sampling of concrete for compression and flexural test.
• Conduct slump testing.
• Assist with asphalt testing if applicable.
• Prepare and compile reports.

Requirements

• SPM / Secondary School qualification, SKM, Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field with at least 2 years of experience in similar role
• Good communication skills and ability to work in teams and to work under pressure
• Technician with Civil testing lab experience ( example: soil, concrete, aggregate, density, slump, compression/flexural or asphalt etc) including rebar testing as well.
• Basic knowledge on material testing will be sufficient, experience in material testing will be better. The most important is willing to learn and good attitude.
• Most of the time will be stationed in lab, but site work is required when needed (maybe few times in a year)
