Job summary

Dxn2u in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is seeking a laboratory assistant to support daily analytical work. You will conduct tests and experiments, prepare chemicals and reagents, and collect samples for analysis following established procedures.

You will operate and calibrate laboratory instruments, ensure supplies are available, record observations accurately, and maintain quality documentation. Safety, good laboratory practices, and compliance with regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or degree in science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various tests and experiments per lab rules.
• Prepare chemicals, reagents and daily supplies.
• Collect and prepare samples for analysis with precision.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instruments.
• Ensure sufficient lab resources are available.
• Record procedures, observations and results accurately.
• Maintain safety and compliance with guidelines.
• Assist in client sample registration and in maintaining quality documentation.
• Support training and competence for laboratory manager.

Job description

a) Conducting variety of tests and experiments as imposed by the laboratory's rules and procedure. b) Preparation of chemicals, reagents and daily laboratory requirements. c) Collecting and preparing the samples for analysis, ensuring precision and adherence to established procedures. d) Maintaining and operating the laboratory equipment by utilizing, calibrating, and maintaining specialized instruments and apparatus used in analytical procedures. e) Ensuring sufficient supplies and resources are readily accessible for the laboratory. f) Accurately recording and detailing experimental processes, observations, and results for documenting and reporting. g) Complying with safety guidelines, laboratory regulations, and industry standards to maintain a secure and compliant work environment. h) Consistently following standardized work methodologies to maintain good laboratory practices. i) Assist in registration and inspection of client’s samples. j) Assisting in maintaining of laboratory quality documentation. k) Ensure training competence to laboratory manager.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Bachelor or Degree of Science in related field and/or have at least minimum of 2 years work experience in an established laboratory.
