Job summary

6255 UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Application Support professional in Kuala Lumpur to provide end-to-end support for business users and incidents. The role involves timely resolution, root cause analysis, and collaboration with the development team to ensure smooth production releases.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science or engineering, 5+ years in banking/finance IT environments, and proficiency with Unix/Windows, batch scheduling, SQL, and BI

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science/engineering or related disciplines.
• Min 5 years of experience in application development and support environment in Banking Finance, Finance knowledge for GL, MAS, GST, Regulatory and Reporting/business intelligence
• Experience in Unix/Windows platforms, batch scheduling tools, Database query skills, BI Tools skillsets
• Mandatory technical skills : Oracle / MS SQL, Unix/Linux, AS400, Control-M, Shell scripting
• Knowledge of Finance, Risk, Accounting, ITIL or similar framework will be advantageous
• OneSumX, Hyperion, SAP GL, Ray, BASEL , Moody's RiskAuthority is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide application support to business users and promptly address queries to closure.
• Resolve incidents to meet service level targets and handle business/technical queries.
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and minimize impact.
• Proactively manage incidents and problems with proper prioritization and escalation.
• Collaborate with development to identify resolutions and production releases.
• Adopt standard Incident and Problem Management workflows including change management communications.
• Participate in DR/BCM activities or infrastructure upgrades.
• Monitor and analyze capacity data to forecast future requirements.
• Support management reporting and other centrally driven project initiatives as needed

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide application support to various business users. Attend to business queries and business requests promptly. Follow through the business requests to a proper closure

• Work on timely resolution for reported incidents so as to meet service level targets. Incidents include failures & queries reported by business users and technical staff; event alerts automatically detected and reported by event monitoring tool

• Perform root cause analysis to identify permanent solution so as to prevent recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented

• Ensure all incidents and problems are proactively managed - Prioritizing numerous issues of varying severity and escape issues as appropriate to necessary teams and management

• Collaborate with the development team in identifying resolutions and transitioning of releases into production environment

• Adopt standard Incident and Problem Management workflow and processes, i.e timely ticket, defect and incidents loggings including proper change management processes and quality issue/impacts emails

• Participate in DR/BCM activities or infrastructure related upgrade

• Responsible of capacity management. To monitor & analyse current performance and capacity data and forecast the capacity required by the applications ahead

• Aside from day-to-day support duties, there will be requirements to undertake other responsibilities such as management reporting & other centrally driven project initiatives as needed

Key Requirements

• Degree in computer science/engineering or related disciplines.

• Min 5 years of experience in application development and support environment in Banking Finance, Finance knowledge for GL, MAS, GST, Regulatory and Reporting/business intelligence

• Individual must have working experience in Unix/Windows platforms, batch scheduling tools, Database query skills, BI Tools skillsets

• Mandatory Technical skills : Oracle / MS SQL, Unix/Linux, AS400, Control-M, Shell scripting,

• Knowledge of Finance, Risk, Accounting, ITIL of similar framework will be advantage

• Either one or good to have : Wolters Kluwer's OneSumX, Hyperion, SAP GL, Ray, BASEL , Moody's RiskAuthority
