Job summary

World Vision Malaysia’s Kuching office is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead market development, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives in Kuching and Sarawak. The role blends hands-on marketing, community engagement, and stakeholder relationships to establish a sustainable local presence.

You will drive campaigns, activate local audiences, collaborate with teams in PJ, and build a growing network of corporate partners, churches, and donors.

Qualifications

• Experience in marketing, business development, fundraising, partnerships, sales, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of Kuching and Sarawak markets with local networks.
• Strong strategic thinking to translate opportunities into growth plans.
• Commercial and fundraising mindset to identify opportunities and measurable outcomes.
• Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to engage with business leaders, donors, churches, and community stakeholders.
• Hands-on campaign, event, activation, or project execution capability.
• Independent worker with good decision-making in a small, evolving office.

Responsibilities

• Market Development & Growth: develop and execute local market plan to grow presence, awareness, and fundraising.
• Understand local market segments, giving behaviour, corporate and church networks.
• Identify priority audiences and opportunities for sustainable growth.
• Connect World Vision's mission with Sarawak audiences.
• Test approaches, learn, and allocate resources accordingly.
• Develop and execute local initiatives to generate sponsorships, donations, leads.
• Build partnerships with corporations, churches, foundations, and community groups.
• Lead local campaigns, events, activations, and community engagement.
