Job summary

Little Cove Montessori invites applications for a Montessori Educator role in Kuala Lumpur. You will guide young learners through Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math and Cultural activities within a nurturing Montessori environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, has 1–2 years of preschool or Montessori teaching experience, and demonstrates patience, respect for learners, and collaborative spirit.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is essential.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia/Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Guide and inspire children through Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Cultural work.
• Integrate Montessori pedagogy with KSPK requirements, plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons.
• Observe and track developmental milestones, support children's curiosity and independence.
• Prepare an organized, inviting classroom space and maintain calm learning environment.
• Observe and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents.

What You’ll Do

• Guide & Inspire: Act as a facilitator in a child-centered environment, guiding children through Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Cultural work.
• Integrate Curriculum: Blend Montessori pedagogy seamlessly with KSPK requirements, early literacy/phonics, and engaging thematic projects. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Montessori-based lessons and activities that align with the curriculum and meet the individual needs of each child.
• Nurture Growth: Observe individual learning styles, track developmental milestones, and support each child’s natural curiosity and independence.
• Prepare the Environment: Maintain an organized, inviting, and calm classroom space where children can freely explore and develop self-discipline.
• Partner with Parents: Observe and assess children's progress, providing regular feedback and collaborating with parents to support each child's development.

• Maintain detailed records, documentation and portfolios to track children's learning and development.
• Support children's social, emotional and physical wellbeing, and promote positive behaviour.
• Contribute to the broader life of the school through staff meetings, professional development and community events.

Who We’re Looking For

• Language Skills: Fluent English is essential. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia/Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent.

• Experience: 1–2 years of teaching experience in a preschool or Montessori setting.
• Mindset: Patient, deeply respectful of young learners, collaborative, and aligned with a child-led learning philosophy.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children and families
