Job summary

Little Sprout Childcare Centre Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang is seeking a dedicated early childhood educator to plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences. You will conduct daily circle time, sensory and music activities, and support language, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Observing and documenting progress, adapting strategies, and maintaining a positive classroom environment are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Creative and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
• Conduct daily circle time, sensory play, messy play, music and movement activities.
• Support children’s language, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Observe and document children’s learning and development.
• Adapt teaching strategies according to individual children’s needs and abilities.
• Maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Ensure children’s safety, wellbeing, and hygiene at all times.
• Support children with routines such as meals, toileting, nap time, and transitions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the classroom environment.
• Prepare learning materials and classroom setups daily.
• Follow centre routines, policies, and health & safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues.
• Provide updates regarding children’s progress, wellbeing, and classroom participation.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, and management.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, and centre events when required.

KAP Certified

Experience in Play Based/ Inquiry based Learning
