Job summary

A local kindergarten in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated teacher to guide young children aged 4 to 6. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and at least 1 year of experience, although fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include creating a welcoming classroom atmosphere, assessing student progress, and participating in special events. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, and knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Must have a diploma in Early Childhood Education.

• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

· To teach in accordance to the syllabus used by the kindergarten.

· To teach and guide children from 4 to 6 years old.

· To create a safe, welcoming and inspiring atmosphere in the classroom.

· To use a variety of activities and instructional methods such as songs, stories, media, structured games, art to stimulate children's ability.

· To assess students' performance and progress to ensure they are learning the skills and values on regular basis.

· To run the holiday programme as planned by the kindergarten.

· To give full support and attendance to all special events such as Training Programmes, Field trip, Open Day, Parent Teacher meeting and Graduation & Concert.

· Cheerful, patient, responsible and able to work independently.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related Education field.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is preferable for this position. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin will be an added advantage.
