Job summary

KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Interpreter/Translator (Khmer, Cambodian) to join our team. The role focuses on language support, customer service, and coordination for international patients throughout their healthcare journey.

Responsibilities include responding to patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, facilitating communications with healthcare providers, and supporting service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Background in Healthcare, Hospitality, Hotel Management, or Tourism Management will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, hotel management, or tourism industries.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Ability to speak Khmer (Cambodian).

Responsibilities

• Attend promptly and professionally to patient enquiries through various communication channels.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure patient satisfaction at all times.
• Support patient feedback initiatives and contribute to continuous service improvement efforts.
• Assist in enhancing overall patient experience and service quality.
• Assist patients with medical consultations, appointment scheduling, immigration-related matters, and hospital communications.
• Ensure smooth coordination between patients and healthcare providers.
• Represent the organisation professionally by addressing patient requests and concerns with empathy, care, and efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with patients to maintain service excellence and loyalty.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on loyalty programmes, promotional activities, and centre initiatives.
• Participate in projects related to service enhancement, marketing campaigns, and business expansion activities.
