Job summary

RHB Investment Banking is seeking a proactive Junior Team Member, Strategic Advisory (Assistant Manager - Manager rank) to support a broad range of strategic transactions and advisory services in Kuala Lumpur.

You will work closely with senior bankers, assisting with financial modeling, due diligence, and the preparation of high-impact client presentations and transaction documentation, while ensuring governance and compliance across engagements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of working experience in Investment Banking, corporate finance, or related advisory fields.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• Solid knowledge of capital market rules, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute M&A transactions including due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, structuring and deal documentation.
• Conduct market, industry, and company research to identify target opportunities and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Prepare high-quality presentation decks, information memoranda, and strategic proposals.
• Ensure adherence to internal governance standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
• Collaborate with teams across Group Wholesale Banking to identify cross-selling opportunities and win new mandates.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team as a Junior Team Member, Strategic Advisory (Assistant Manager - Manager rank) at RHB Investment Banking. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategic transactions and advisory services. You will collaborate closely with senior bankers and cross-functional teams, assisting with financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and the preparation of high-impact client presentations and transaction documentation.

What you will be doing

• Transaction Execution & Management : Execute M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, structuring, and deal documentation, ensuring deals are completed efficiently within agreed timelines
• Strategic & Analytical Support: Conduct comprehensive market, industry, and company research to identify and evaluate target opportunities. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Head, Strategic Advisory regarding acquisitions, investments, and partnerships, while assisting in post-deal reporting and performance tracking
• Presentation & Documentation : Prepare high-quality presentation decks, including pitch books, information memoranda, and strategic proposals
• Governance & Risk Oversight : Ensure strict adherence to internal governance standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks. Proactively identify transaction risks and propose practical mitigation strategies
• People Collaboration : Partner closely with teams across Group Wholesale Banking to identify cross-selling opportunities and win new mandates
