Job summary

BWC Construction Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with at least 2 years’ experience in road construction to join our Kamunting, Perak team.

You will handle tender costings, BoQ preparation, cost estimation, procurement support and progress claims, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors.

A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• At least 2 year experience as Quantity Surveyor in road construction projects.
• Experience with cost estimation and tender submissions.
• Able to liaise with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Able to calculate cost of projects tendering, preparation of tender submission & BoQ, cost estimation, procurement support and follow up of project.
• Taking off quantity.
• Prepare project final accounts & analysis, variation orders, interim progress claims.
• Project organizing, costing control by monitoring the site work & progress.
• Prepare letter of award to sub-contractors and verify their claims of the project.
• Processing progress claim and variations to ensure on time submission.
• Undertake other related jobs from time to time as directed by Contract/Project Manager.
• Track payment status to ensure the payment is made by Finance Dept within the contractual payment period.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, equipment suppliers, management, public etc. to ensure all contract administration matters are attended promptly.
